I’ve been employed on both ends of the spectrum, and we have managed projects for both ends as well.Employment-wise, career and skill set growth seems faster with the smaller company, but the larger one always makes a larger impact on a resume.
A lot of it comes down to company philosophy. Some large companies are very loose, and are open to new ideas. Other large companies have the “cog in the machine” mentality, and do not truly nurture employee growth beyond the hired position.
End of the day, they are both unique experiences, and help provide a clearer picture of what to expect when walking into a client’s office.
