Why start a blog? The search engine spiders will like you that much more now that you will have consistently updated content. Also, I like that you have found your focus, and found another way to 
leverage social network marketing (SNM).

Although nothing fancy, WordPress does allow the flexibility to create a visual tie-in with your main site.
Also, WordPress makes it very simple to add a more visual aspect, as I try to do as often as possible. Just to break up the text.
